Venue And Ticket Information

The Oshawa Generals home rink is located at the Tribute Communities Centre (TCC) at 99 Athol Street East in Downtown Oshawa.

Tickets to home games can be purchased in advance online and you’ll save a few bucks buying ahead of time instead of waiting to purchase on game day.

The TCC Ticket Office is located inside Gate 1. Stop by Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or Sunday, if there’s a game, from noon to 7:30 p.m..

Have a big group? You may want to consider renting a private suite. These premium boxes accommodate 10 to 18 guests, giving you plenty of space to mingle with your friends while you enjoy the game. An extensive catering menu will also be made available for you to order from ahead of the game, and a server will visit your suite throughout the game to provide drink service.

Prospects Bar & Grill is inside the TCC and has a wonderful view of the ice. The restaurant opens two hours before game time and reservations are highly recommended. You’ll notice guests cheering from the restaurant during the game. These are lucky season ticket holders who have some of the best seats in the house.

For those arriving by car, on-street parking is free on weekends and after 6 p.m. on weekdays. Additionally, there is $5 event parking at a nearby parking garage (Parkade 3) on Mary Street with entry from King Street or Bond Street, or a parking lot (Lot 16) on Athol Street with entry from Celina Street and Albert Street.

Restaurants and cafes are plentiful in Downtown Oshawa, and it’s definitely worth coming early enough to grab a bite or a coffee before the puck drops. Check out our list below for a couple spots we recommend visiting on your way to the rink.

Market at 70 King is home to eight food vendors that are serving up all sorts of delicious dishes. From freshly made baos and zapiekanka (Polish pizza) to sushi and tacos, this upmarket and creative food hall will leave your tastebuds inspired. The recently renovated space has a beautiful art-deco vibe that nods to the building’s historic legacy.

Just around the corner from the TCC is the newly opened Chronicle Taphouse & Kitchen. This Bowmanville brewery recently opened its second location, bringing its delicious tacos, wings, sharable appetizers, and innovative brews to Oshawa.

Need a little pre-game caffeine boost? Head over to Karèza Café. Their menu features flavoured specialty lattes and a large selection of teas to enjoy. The café also offers a few small snacks and pastries if you need a quick bite.

During The Game

Between periods, wander over to the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame located on the main concourse of the TCC. Take a step back in time and learn about the individuals and teams that have contributed to the local sports community. As soon as the gates open for the Gens home games, so do the doors to the Hall of Fame. Admission to the Hall is free.

The concession stands offer oodles of game day favourite snacks, including hot dogs, french fries and fresh cut roast beef sandwiches. You can even drink locally brewed beer from Brock Street Brewing, featured on their bar menus.

You’ll smell the barbeque as you arrive to Reetaj Middle Eastern Restaurant. With a wide menu offering slow cooked shawarma, crispy falafel, and freshly grilled kababs. The entire menu is Halal and the restaurant is a 14-minute walk from TCC.

A 10-minute walk will get you to Mexitaco. They serve up mouth-watering tacos and burritos alongside many other Mexican favourites like elote (Mexican street corn) and pozole (rich soup with hominy corn and pork).

For the sweet tooth, Uncle Fluffy is a 7-minute walk from the arena and specializes in light-as-a-cloud Japanese cheesecake.

BOND|ST Snack Bar is the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights after the game and is a quick 6-minute walk. Located inside BOND|ST Event Centre, the vibes are immaculate in their second-floor restaurant. The menu has a great variety of tasty snacks, including tofu katsu sandwiches, pork dumplings, and crushable pizzas.
