Welcome to Beaverton

Enjoy the small town charm

Located where the shores of Lake Simcoe and the mouth of the Beaver river meet, is historic Beaverton. Over the summer months Beaverton welcomes a large influx of cottagers and tourists who come to enjoy the small-town charm, the lake, Beaverton Harbour & Harbour Park. In the winter months Beaverton becomes the centre of one of the most active ice fishing locations in North America.

After passing through the downtown core, you’ll end up at the harbour with a park on Lake Simcoe.

About Beaverton

Downtown Revitalization Management Committee

The Beaverton Downtown Revitalization Management Committee was established in May 2012. This Committee is comprised of local volunteers and partners who championed and guided the revitalization project through its various stages. Downtown revitalization is a process of improving the economic, physical and social well-being of the community’s traditional town centre by: strengthening local businesses and encouraging investment by building and property owners; creating enjoyable public streets and spaces animated by a variety of civic activities and events; and (iii) providing work and living opportunities that respond to people’s needs across a spectrum of ages and interests.
